The Woolly Actors Guild

The Woolly Actors Guild

To give woolly actors the voice they deserve Monkey, has launched WAG (the Woolly Actors Guild) campaign to gain equal rights for woolly actors.

He is searching for the great British public’s support in his tireless campaign against ‘woolism’ - a term he has coined to describe prejudices against woolly actors like himself. A serious, talented actor, Monkey believes ‘woolist’ casting directors worldwide are to blame for relegating woolly actors to children’s television and commercials.

With the help of Mother, Monkey has just released four films salvaged ‘from the cutting room floor’ that prove woolism exists. The films show woolly actors (Zippy, Bungle, George and Bagpuss to be precise) that have been ousted from some of Hollywood’s most famous movies to make way for human actors.

Members of the public  are encouraged to make a stand for the rights of woolly actors by signing Monkey’s petition on www.woollyactorsguild.com, where you can also buy some splendid Monkey merchandise too, the income from which will be used by Comic Relief to help run itself.
