Halfords’ new summer TV ad evokes the freedom of childhood fun and escapism that riding a bike brings and encourages kids, big and small, to rediscover a love of cycling and get out on out on their bikes this Summer.
The 30-second spot shows an older man rediscovering the childlike thrill of riding a bike by freewheeling down a hill in the countryside, as we see him transform into versions of his younger self and relive memories of past summers on his bike.
It’s a simple celebration of the joyful and timeless feeling that everyone can have by dusting off their saddles, jumping on and pedalling off into the Great British Summer – whatever the weather.
Directed by Noam Murro through Biscuit Filmworks and shot over two days on location in the Buckinghamshire countryside
